Calling All Kids: Junior Construction Experts Wanted
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Atlanta Seeks Local Children to Compete for a Spot on 2013 Special Panel
ATLANTA (January 22, 2013) – Following a successful first year in Atlanta, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta is seeking a new team of Junior Construction Panel members for 2013. Joshua Bohn, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta Master Model Builder, is looking for children to be a part of his specialized team. Junior Construction Panel members will have access to special events, provide input on future events at the attraction and be a part of making the attraction the best it can be for all of the children who visit throughout the year!
“We had such a fun year with our first team of Junior Construction Panel members,” said LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta master model builder Joshua Bohn. “Now we’re excited to recruit a brand new group of children to be a part of this special club and help us plan activities for the upcoming year. I’m looking for a team of talented and passionate young people to bring their creativity and innovative perspectives to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta experience.”
How to Apply for a Spot on the Junior Construction Panel
The Master Model Builder and the LEGOLAND Discovery Center team are looking for two groups of kids, one group of five to seven year olds and another group of eight to ten year olds, to serve on its Junior Construction Panel. With the help of a parent or guardian, LEGO lovers and builders between the ages of five and 10 can apply by submitting a letter detailing why they would like to be a part of the Junior Construction Panel. Letters must be received by February 16 for consideration; they may be dropped off at the attraction or mailed to LEGOLAND Discovery Center, ATTN: Joshua Bohn / Junior Construction Panel, 3500 Peachtree Rd. NE, Suite G-1 Atlanta, GA 30326).
Finalists will be chosen to participate in a Mini-Brick Factor event with their families on Saturday, February 23 in Phipps Plaza where they will be given fun, entertaining building challenges. All registered children participating in the Mini-Brick Factor will also receive a “Kid Goes Free” offer to LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta. Twelve children will be selected to be on the 2013 Junior Construction Panel.
Entries must be submitted no later than Saturday, February 16, 2013. More info about the family building event will be announced Monday, February 18. The final event will be held in Phipps Plaza on Saturday, February 23. The 2013 Junior Construction Panel will be notified on Monday, February 25 and announced shortly after on the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta Facebook page.
What do Kids Receive for Being Named a Junior Construction Panelist?
The children selected to serve on the Junior Construction Panel will receive the royal LEGOLAND Discovery Center treatment and a seat as a member of the panel for one year, a special “box of imagination,” as well as an Annual Pass for the center, granting them free visits for an entire year.
