FROM GEORGIA TO KANDAHARMy

My son, Capt. Dixon Reeves, will be taking GA's 878th Engineer Battalion to Kandahar, Afghanistan in late January and I am collecting new or used DVDs and CDs to arrive shortly after they do. Board games and decks of cards are also extremely well received.We did this when they were in Kabul and Iraq and the soldiers were incredibly grateful. Their taste in music and movies spans everything that you can imagine: from opera to rap and from documentaries to Disney and everything in between.This is a terribly dangerous deployment and they need all of the down-time diversions from home that we can possibly provide. We will also send 2,500 to 3,000 home-made cookies (a nightmare to pack!) simply because they love them so much. If you have an extra moment would you write a message on the cover of the CD or DVD (magic marker)? I know from past responses that they are now looking for these messages and smiling as they read them.I greatly appreciate any contributions that you might be able to offer.  I'm constantly overwhelmed at the generosity of our community.
