Hotel Equities Named Wabler Vice President and CFO

ATLANTA (January 6, 2012) –Atlanta-based Hotel
Equities
(www.hotelequities.com) recently promoted Buckhead resident Barry Wabler to the position of Vice President.  Mr. Wabler has served as Chief Financial Officer for the past year, but now holds the title of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  He reports directly to HE President & CEO Fred Cerrone and sits as a member of Hotel Equities’ Strategic Alignment Leadership Team (SALT), the executive committee responsible for casting the company vision and orchestrating its growth.

Mr. Wabler’s focus at the hotel development and management company is strategic business growth and
development.  His responsibilities include interaction with the capital markets and functional leadership of treasury,
legal, accounting, risk management and information technology for the company’s corporate operations and the hotels in the firm’s portfolio. 

“Barry will use his financial expertise and hospitality experience to lead us through continued growth,” said Fred Cerrone, President and CEO of Hotel Equities.  “His talent for strategic planning and his leadership skills make him an outstanding asset to our company.”

Mr. Wabler joined Hotel Equities as Controller in 1999 and
became CFO in 2004.  He left briefly to
serve as President and Chief Operating Officer of Currey & Company, a successful
manufacturer of specialty home furnishings. Mr. Wabler returned to Hotel
Equities in December 2010 and helped orchestrate the addition of 19 hotels to
the company’s portfolio in 2011.

Mr. Wabler is active in the Georgia Society of CPAs and Cushman
& Wakefield CFO Roundtable along with other professional and community
organizations.

A native of Dayton, Ohio, Mr. Wabler is a graduate of the University of Georgia
with a B.B.A. and a M.S. in Accounting.  He
and his wife Karen and their two daughters reside in Buckhead.
