Local allergy specialist Dr. David Tanner of Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic, the largest allergy practice in Georgia, was named to the 2012 list of Top Docs in the July issue of Atlanta magazine.

Five Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic physicians were named to the prestigious list—Drs. Stanley M. Fineman, Linda D. Guydon, Kathleen A. Sheerin, and John A. Zora were also included in the prestigious listing.

Dr. Fineman said the practice is honored to have so many of its board-certified allergy specialists included in the Atlanta magazine listing. “This listing is a way of recognizing the important role specialists play in identifying and treating allergy and asthma conditions. These conditions can have a significant impact on the quality of life for children and adults and can even create life-threatening situations without diagnosis, treatment, and avoidance of allergy and asthma triggers.”

Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., an established healthcare research company based in New York, compiles Atlanta magazine’s list of Top Doctors annually. Its physician-led team of researchers selects Top Doctors through a rigorous screening process that includes evaluation of education and professional experience. Top Doctors were nominated by both a nationwide survey administered by Castle Connolly and by licensed physicians in DeKalb, Fulton, Cobb, Clayton, and Gwinnett counties who submitted online votes for exceptional colleagues they would send their own families to.
