New Model Home Design Unveiled at The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta
The newly designed two-bedroom, two and half bath model home located on the 41st floor of The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta was unveiled at an exclusive event for Atlanta’s top brokers on November 1 at The Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta.
The model home, designed by Johnna Barrett of Barrett Design is called Vermillion and features serene neutrals and shimmering wall surfaces that form an elegant backdrop for the blending of classic lines with modern sensibilities. Vermilion, a deep red pigment and regarded as the color of life and eternity by Chinese Taoists, appears throughout the space adding intensity and excitement to this dramatic and luxurious design. “Vermilion was designed to transcend styles. It’s really a fusion of classic and modern that blurs the line between old and new,” said Johnna Barrett. “We worked with a very neutral palette so it was important that the finishes blended seamlessly from room to room. Sometimes what you don’t put in a space is just as important as what you do – negative space is very important in my designs.”
The home features 2,976 square feet of heated space, 262 square feet of unheated space, and some of the most stunning views in Atlanta with a selling price of $1.9 million. Johnna Barrett has also designed at the Buckhead Grand, Paramount, Sovereign and the Ritz-Carlton Residences.
