New State-of-the-Art Veterinary Facility Keeps Boutique Feel 

Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital (PHAH) has relocated to a brand new, state-of-the-art facility, conveniently located at 3106 Early Street, Atlanta, GA 30305, which is 1/16 of a mile north of its former address. The move enables the veterinary hospital to schedule more appointments within its hours of operation. More than a traditional day practice, PHAH provides high-end diagnostic capabilities for illnesses and emergencies in addition to routine preventative care and surgical services. Capabilities include chemotherapy, ultrasound, dentistry, radiology and more.

Regarded for expert veterinary medical care, PHAH’s team of talented professionals is what truly makes the practice shine. Veterinarians include Dr. Duffy Jones, Dr. Keri Weyl, Dr. Edith Rogers and Dr. Shari Nath. PHAH employs four Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT), which are veterinary paraprofessionals, and 1 student of an accredited program of Veterinary Medical Technology.  RVTs perform tasks such as the administration and monitoring of anesthesia, taking radiographs, drawing blood samples, placing IV catheters and monitoring fluid administration, all under the supervision of the veterinarian, much like an RN and physician or surgeon might work together. Additionally, PHAH has 3 Veterinary Assistants with a combined total of more than 15 years of experience.

About the Founder

M. Duffy Jones, DVM founded Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital in 2005. In addition to running the clinic, Dr. Jones is an expert blogger for WebMD’s Pet Health Community and Victoria Stilwell’s Positively. He teaches ultrasound courses to veterinarians on a consultative basis. A board member of the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Jones serves as a resource to numerous animal rescue groups. His prior experience includes four years as a staff veterinarian in Cherokee County, serving at several local emergency clinics and an internship at Georgia Veterinary Specialists in Roswell. Dr. Jones received his DVM from Tufts University Veterinary School. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. A native Atlantan, Dr. Jones attended Christ the King Elementary School and Marist High School.  The Jones Family, whose menagerie includes two dogs, a cat and a guinea pig, resides in Peachtree Hills.
