Pride Medical’s Fincher recognized for meritorious service by professional organization

Pride Medical Pharmacy’s Deb Fincher recently received an award for meritorious service for serving on the Executive Board of the Georgia Society of HealthSystem Pharmacists (GSHP) as Secretary for the past three years. Fincher has a Masters Degree in Chemistry and Bachelor of Science Pharmacy Degree as well as specialty training in HIV treatment. She has been with Pride Pharmacy since early 2008.

GSHP, a professional society of pharmacists and related personnel practicing in organized healthcare settings, is the third largest professional affiliate of the American Society of HealthSystem Pharmacists in the U.S. and has been cited for outstanding service to the hospitals where its members work and provide state-of-the-art professional pharmacy service.

“It has been an honor and pleasure to serve in this capacity,” Fincher said after accepting her award from Ken Jozefczyek, current president of GSHP, at the organization’s 2012 Summer Meeting July 19 at Amelia Island, Florida. Jozefczyek is Director of Pharmacy for Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA.
