Cities across the U.S. wil be hosting July 4th fireworks extravaganzas, but Buckhead's own Lenox Square is home to the Southeast’s largest celebration, which attracts more than 200,000 people annually, according to the Lenox Square website.
Lenox Square's annual event will not only feature more than 4,000 fireworks shots in approximately 20 mintues (with a patriotic sountrack, no less), but have live musical entertainment on the mall’s outdoor main stage leading up to the big event as well.
The fireworks are scheduled to begin at approximately 9:35 p.m.
Headlining the evening musically will be premier Atlanta cover band, Party on the Moon, who will take the stage at 7:30 and play until the fireworks show begins. Local band Sons of Sailors will kick off the freedom festivities from 6 – 7:15 p.m.
This legendary, local celebration is free and open to the public and will kick off at noon with a multitude of activities for kids.
If you plan on shopping that day, take note that Lenox Square shops and restaurants are open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
For the comfort and enjoyment of all those that attend, Lenox Square management is asking that people please refrain from bringing pets to the event.
