FBI, APD Looking for Buckhead Bank Robbers

Two men, one of whom was armed, robbed Fifth Third Bank on Piedmont Road Thursday afternoon.

 

The FBI and Atlanta police are looking for two men who robbed a bank in Buckhead Thursday afternoon, according to a report by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

One of the men brandished a semi-automatic handgun when he and a partner entered Fifth Third Bank on Piedmont Road and announced a robbery just before 4 p.m.

The men escaped the scene on foot with money, although the amount remains undisclosed at this time.

Descriptions of the suspects:

The armed suspect is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s. At about 5-foot-9 to 5-10, the man has a slender build and can be seen in the photos wearing a red baseball cap and a dark hoodie-style jacket. The second suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s with a medium build. He was wearing a dark jacket.

I had understood that Chief Police Turner was to step up patrols in the Buckhead area, but so far, I've seen no more than usual.
