First Mark MyGrant Summer Scholarship Winner Named
The winner, a rising senior at North Atlanta High School, will attend a music center institute in North Carolina.
Maren Eden of North Atlanta High School has received the first Mark MyGrant Summer Scholarship, a $1,000 award.
Reporter Newspapers, citing information from the North Atlanta High School Foundation, says the rising senior plans to participate in the Brevard Music Center High School Institute in Brevard, N.C., thanks to the scholarship.
The award, which will be given annually to a rising sophomore, junior or senior at the school, is in honor of former North Atlanta High School principal Mark MyGrant, who was removed as interim principal last October. He is now in the real estate business, the article says.
