Galloway School Convocation Service
Galloway students celebrate sense of community as they prepare to embark on a yearlong service partnership with Heifer International.
Student speakers at Galloway School's fifth annual opening convocation Thursday morning shared their thoughts on community.
The convocation at the school's Chastain Park campus included a student procession with bagpipe music and an official welcome from Head of School Dr. Beth Farokhi. The ceremony kicked off Galloway's yearlong celebration of one of the school's founding pillars: community.
Student speakers were fourth-grader Lily Siegel, daughter of Lori and Jon of Buckhead; eighth-grader Aaron Earl, son of Sari and Olen of Buckhead; and 11th-grader Taylor Robinson, daughter of Dalise and Paul of Decatur.
Galloway announced that the school's yearlong service project will be with Heifer International, a global organization that works with communities to end hunger and poverty.
