On the heels of the nation's celebration of veterans and their service and sacrifices, a few local organizations are joining the fight of an Atlanta-area veteran facing eviction.
Teamsters Local 728, Jobs with Justice, and Occupy Our Homes ATL are partnering with veteran Mark Harris in a demonstration against Fannie Mae at 950 E. Paces Ferry Road on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
Harris, who fought for his country and was injured in Kuwait during the first Gulf War, is hoping the demonstration will result in a deal with Fannie Mae that will help him keep his home in DeKalb County.
