Lenox Square Manager: 'It's Time for a Facelift'

Lenox Square renovations will begin in early 2013

It's been more than 50 years since Lenox Square was built, and the message Tuesday afternoon from property manager Robin Suggs was clear: "It's time for a facelift."

Suggs told the Buckhead Community Improvement District board the project will begin in early 2013 and will be completed before holiday shopping season begins.

Plans include a revamped mall entrance on Peachtree Road that will include a two-story glass facade, updated valet service at the main entrance and Neiman Marcus entrance and a remodeled food court, among other upgrades previously reported.

She said no properties will be affected by the renovations, but suggested that Lenox Square Grill may be looking to relocate.

No definite plans are in the works at this time, but they are reevaluating how to make the best use of that space, she said.

She is hopeful Macy's will pump some money into revamping their entrance, one of the few exterior areas not included in the renovation.

Suggs failed to disclose cost estimates for the project, but said dollar figures would be shared with the public when they are nailed down.
