Buckhead Caribou Coffee Locations Spared from Closures

Buckhead's Caribou Coffee locations at 3255 Peachtree Road, 4520 Roswell Road (Sandy Springs) and 3487 Northside Parkway were spared from the cuts that came on Sunday. According to the company's website, four Atlanta-area locations were among the 80 locations nationwide which closed their doors:

• 2870 North Druid Hills Road, Atlanta
• 2014 Powers Ferry Road, Vinings
• 1275 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta
• The Forum on Peachtree Parkway, 5135 Peachtree Parkway, Norcross

Any of the remaining eight stores listed on the coffee and tea company's website may be converted to Peet's Coffee & Tea. Any possible conversions will happen over the next 12 to 18 months, according to Caribou Coffee spokeswoman Lisa Alcorn.

Alcorn also sent Patch the following statement:

"Going forward, Caribou Coffee will be made up of 468 locations across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Western Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, North Carolina, Denver, and ten international markets. While the decisions we’ve made have been difficult for our team in Minneapolis, as well as our team members across the country and our guests and fans everywhere, we are working to make this transition as seamless as possible for the Caribou community. We look forward to continuing to deliver extraordinary experiences to our guests and fans, and thank everyone for their passion and commitment to Caribou."
