Daisy Duck and her ducklings that reside at the pond at Lovett School returned to their home on Friday morning.

The ducks were injured by a goose in April and sent to the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine.

After hours of surgery and long days of therapy the ducks were finally able to go back home to their happy pond at Lovett.

Thanks to Lovett's maintenance and grounds crew, Scott Russo, Mading Duor, and Jerry Griffin, and parents Kristin Norton and Keira Camillo, the ducks were rescued after the incident in April and sent to the Wildlife Treatment Center at UGA, according to the Lovett Web site.

After fivel hours of surgery with a team of 13 veterinary specialists (including anesthesiologists, surgeons, and radiologists), Daisy and her ducklings were taken care of by 16 veterinary students,: The ducks were given medications, nutritional supplements and twice-daily therapy, the website said.
