Police Arrest Suspected Drunk Driver Who Crashed and Overturned Car in Buckhead
The police have arrested a suspect in an early Friday morning crash that left a car abandoned, overturned and in flames on Peachtree Road near East Wesley Road.
Atlanta Police have arrested a man suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and crashing a vehicle into a wall near Peachtree and East Wesley roads on Friday morning.
Atlanta Police officers responded to the scene of the crash around 1:30 a.m. on Friday where they found the vehicle overturned and on fire, said APD spokesman John Chafee.
Atlanta Fire Rescue responded to the scene to extinguish the flames.
Witnesses told the officers that after the driver crashed the vehicle, he got into another vehicle and sped away before the police arrived.
Later on Friday, officers located the driver at a nearby Chevron gas station at 2331 Peachtree Road, brought him back to the initial crash scene and arrested him there. The driver has been identified as 39-year-old Andres Conde-Bosch.
Conde-Bosch was charged with driving under the influence, along with five other charges. He was taken to Grady Hospital to be treated for any injuries sustained in the crash, Chafee stated.
