The Coolest Drinks in Town

Buckhead restaurants and bars created signature summer cocktails, tangy and sweet. Here are some favorites.

 

Nothing like a cool drink for these scorching summer days. With the temperature soaring, Buckhead Patch asked local restaurants and taverns for their signature refreshments. With the July 4 weekend here, below are local favorites you can try at holiday parties.

The Skinny Blood Orange Cosmo — 1.25 oz. Skyy Blood Orange Vodka, 1 oz. Ty Ky Soju, ½ oz. Monin Sugar Free Triple Sec, ½ oz. fresh squeezed lime juice. Shake 25 times with ice, strain into martini glass. Garnish with orange slice on rim. @Morton's The Steakhouse

Pisco Porton "Portonero" 2 oz. Pisco Porton, three wedges of fresh lime, ¼ oz of ginger liquor, fill with ginger ale, garnish with a lime. Offered during Ladies Nights (Mon-Thurs 5-9 pm) @Davios Northern Italian Steakhouse

Mango Tini — Van Gogh Mango, shaken with cranberry juice and topped with ginger ale. Also the Tao Tini — Stoli Peach and Stoli Orange vodkas mixed with fresh pineapple and orange juices. @Genki Noodles and Sushi 

Vodka Thyme Lemonade — 2 oz. Absolut Citron Vodka, 2 oz. Lemon Thyme Syrup (restaurant recipe) three lemon wedges, one splash soda, add sugar along rim of highball glass and garnish with sprig of fresh thyme. @MARKET Buckhead

Orange Basil Margarita — Muddled fresh basil, orange juice, sugar-free limeade and sugar free lemonade, mixed with El Jimador tequila. @The Big Ketch Saltwater Grill
