Intro to Rain Gardens: Restore Ground Water and Save your Soil.

Saturday, February 16, 1-3pm

$10 Garden member, $ 15 non-members

Join landscape architect, Steve Provost, and learn how a rain garden can help manage rainwater runoff and create an attractive feature in your garden. A rain garden is a planted depression that allows rainwater runoff from impervious urban areas like roofs, driveways, walkways, parking lots, and compacted lawn areas the opportunity to be absorbed. This reduces rain runoff and pollution reaching creeks and streams by allowing storm water to soak into the ground. This class will discuss the construction, appropriate plant materials, provide resources and show examples of how to make a successful rain garden.
