 fety is a  major                consideration at Patchwork Farm\nRiders 
 who do  not own their own horse are mounted on experienced\,            
      proven school horses\, several of whom are gently retired show hors
 es.                 Our riding academy is geared toward the beginner or 
 novice  rider.\nWe believe that riding provides a unique opportunity for
   children                to learn about responsibility\, self reliance\
 ,  compassion and goal                setting. It has been our experienc
 e  that our top riders are also                the best achievers in  sc
 hool. Several of our students have received                riding and  a
 cademic scholarships to major universities.
