Preschool's Christmas Pageant Also Time to Donate Gifts

The Preschool at Northside Drive Baptist Church holds its annual Christmas Pageant this morning and will hand over gifts collected for Hillside children.

The children of The Preschool at Northside Drive Baptist Church will present the 25th Annual Christmas Pageant today at 10:30 a.m. in the main sanctuary.

The children of the school will retell the classic story of Mary and Joseph’s pilgrimage to Bethlehem, and sing several traditional Christmas carols.

The performance will include toddlers as angels, preschoolers as cows, sheep, stars and Christmas trees, and pre-k children as characters from the Nativity story.

The Christmas pageant is not only a charming tradition, but it is also the school’s biggest charitable event of the year.  For more than 10 years, The Preschool has partnered with a local child center that serves economically disadvantaged children to provide gifts for all their little “angels.” Items include hats, coats, scarves, clothing and toys, and are all provided by the staff, teachers, parents and families of school children of The Preschool at Northside Drive Baptist Church.

This year the school has partnered with Hillside in Atlanta. Hillside has been serving children of Atlanta since 1888. Hillside focuses on the care, needs and treatment of children and adolescents that experience emotional and behavioral challenges, as well as nurturing and caring for the children’s families.
