'Scout for the Home' in Buckhead

Nancy Pendergrast Duffey and her golden retriever, Scout, are the founder and inspiration for Scout for the Home, a home furnishings and interiors store in Buckhead.

She’s appealed to the masses with her wide array of items. In addition to having a large collection of gift items under $40 (candles, decorative platters and glassware), she also features jewelry by local designers, Kristen Meredith and Cary Calhoun. Her furniture pieces are wholly unique, including custom-made iron bed frames and tables. If I could, I would live there — Nancy has a way of piecing together separates that create a homey-yet-chic atmosphere; it's aesthetically beautiful yet entirely livable.

While Nancy runs the store, she is still actively involved in interior installations. She was chosen to decorate the Women's Office and Wet Bar for the 2011 Decorators' Show House

I could go on and on about how amazing the store is, but I recommend going in for yourself. This Thursday, May 12th, Nancy is hosting a reception from 6-8 p.m. complete with refreshments; it’s an ideal time to check out the store and meet Nancy and Scout!
