Barbara Brown Taylor to preach at Second-Ponce de Leon

Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church welcomes New York Times best-selling author Barbara Brown Taylor as a guest preacher on July 27 at 11 a.m.

“Barbara’s unique ability with language makes her one of the most effective communicators in the country and she uses her gift to help us see the grace of God more clearly,” said Senior Pastor Dr. Dock Hollingsworth.

Taylor is the Butman Professor of Religion at Piedmont College in northeast Georgia. She is the author of 12 books – including her latest, “Learning to Walk in the Dark.” Baylor University recognized Taylor as one of the 12 most effective preachers in the English-speaking world.
