Primrose School of Dunwoody selects Ms. Ricketson as the Teacher of the Month for January!
Ms. Ricketson shares her Primrose experience:
“Hello, everybody! I am so thrilled to be chosen as January’s Apple of Our Eye. I am the Pre-K II and Kindergarten teacher. I came to Primrose of Dunwoody in August of 2013, and I have been full of joy since I became a member of this wonderful team. I entered into this position with 5 years of experience teaching elementary school in Fulton County. I took a brief hiatus from teaching to try my hand at a different career, but I soon began to miss teaching and working with children. Now, I have found my place at Primrose of Dunwoody. I absolutely love teaching here. It is so great to have supportive owners, director, and assistant director. The students are polite, respectful, and hard working. The parents are involved and helpful. The curriculum is interesting and challenging for the students. All of these things have allowed me to really focus on teaching and reaching all of my
students.
Outside of our school, I dedicate the majority of my time to my daughter. My daughter, Grace, is 11 yrs old, in 6th grade, and passionate about dancing. She is part of Atlanta Dance Theatre, which is a performing ballet company. In part of our commitment to the company, I volunteer a lot of my time to help, especially during show weeks.
When our time isn’t focused on a performance, my daughter and I enjoy relaxing. We usually do this by reading or watching movies. During the summer time, you can usually find us down by the pool all the day long. We also enjoy traveling to see nearby friends and family.”
