Lenox Square Announces 2014 Winner of Atlanta's Next Legend

 After reviewing hundreds of video submissions from hopeful musical acts and local performers, Lenox Square is thrilled to announce Norwood as the winner of this year’s ‘Atlanta’s Next Legend!’ As the vocal victor of the mall’s second annual talent search, Norwood will have the opportunity to take the stage at Lenox Square’s Legendary 4th of July event to perform in front of thousands of guests for a 20-minute set. In addition to valuable experience and exposure on-stage, Norwood will also receive a $500 Simon Giftcard®.

After discovering his passion for entertaining through music classes and live performances, Norwood decided to make music his life focus and pursue a professional singing career. As a multi-talented singer, songwriter, musician, dancer and actor, Norwood has become one of the hottest pop artists in Atlanta. While showcasing his unique voice, style and dynamic stage show, he is often compared to having the combined talent of Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson.

Since the launch of his professional career in 2009, Norwood has performed as an opening act for the legendary B.B. King and played as a featured artist for the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards pre-party in Los Angeles, the 62nd Lighting of Macy’s Great Tree, the famous Atlanta Peach Drop in 2011 and an Atlanta Braves pre-game concert. He was also named Macy’s Rising Star of 2009 and became a national spokesperson and performer for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America's "Text with Respect" campaign.

Norwood released his latest hit singles, including “Record Spinner,” “Gravity,” and “Speechless,” in 2002 and has since been on the radar for music fans across Georgia. These dynamic, edgy and hard-hitting pop tunes were written and produced by Namaste Studios under the direction of producer Nick Chahwala, who received a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year in 2011 for Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream." Chahwala is also responsible for putting down the music work on Mariah Carey's "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel," which has sold over 400,000 copies.
