S.T.R.I.V.E. RECEIVES $10,000 from Wells Fargo

S.T.R.I.V.E. (Support and Training Result In Valuable Employees) was created by Community Friendship, Inc. for people with mental illness who need intensive or ongoing job support, who have traditionally been excluded from competitive work settings, or whose work has been interrupted or intermittent because of their mental illnesses.   STRIVE helps to lead people with mental illnesses to permanent employment and self-sufficiency. STRIVE helps change the lives of some of the most "difficult-to-serve" mentally ill populations in the Atlanta areas including the homeless, individuals recovering from substance abuse and formerly incarcerated individuals reentering the community. STRIVE introduces employability skills and increases awareness of the attitudes, skills and behaviors needed for success at work.

City of Atlanta Council President, Caesar Mitchell and Sue Williams Vice President of Government and Community Affairs, Wells Fargo will present at $10,000 check to Community Friendship, Inc. for S.T.R.I.V.E. May 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Community Friendship, Inc Headquarters, 85 Renaissance Parkway in Atlanta.
