AHC Presents Veterans Remembrance Day

During Memorial Day Weekend, head to the Atlanta History Center to learn more about area veterans and the jobs they did on the battlefield.

It's almost Memorial Day weekend and the is planning a salute to the city's veterans of wars dating back to World War II.

From noon to 5 p.m. on May 27, the AHC is hosting Veterans Remembrance Day. Veterans will be on hand to tell their stories and show their personal memorabilia. Also, living history interpreters will play the parts of soldiers in World War I and the Civil War, dressing in authentic uniforms, carrying authentic equipment and showing authentic vehicles.

The event is free for history center members and included in the price of admission for nonmembers.
