Atlanta City Council Approves $98K Purchase of Buckhead Property for New Park

At its Monday meeting, the Atlanta City Council approved the purchase of nearly one acre of land to be used for a new Buckhead park.

Council members amended an ordinance to allow for the negotiation and purchase 0.904 acres of property located at 0 N. Ivy Road in Buckhead for an amount not to exceed $98,000.

Livable Buckhead Executive Director Starling stated the park will connect to the planned 5.2-mile PATH400 Trail being built from Loridans Drive south to Morosgo Drive, according to a release.

In February, the City Council approved the purchase of 2.43 acres on Lenox Road in an amount not to exceed $1.17 million for another Buckhead park.
