Running in Real Time: GA Tweets on 'Historic' Storm

It's no surprise that Twitter was abuzz on Tuesday as north Georgia residents prepare for the coming storm.

Less than two weeks after a few inches of snow crippled much of the metro Atlanta region, north Georgia residents braced Tuesday for what could be a "catastrophic" ice storm.

President Barack Obama has already declared the state a federal disaster area, so FEMA can assist local efforts where needed after the storm begins to hit the area before daybreak Wednesday.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect through 1 p.m. Thursday. And while many have already raided their local grocery stores in preparation of the coning snow, sleet and rain that will turn to ice, others were hitting up Twitter Tuesday in preparation of the 'historic' storm.
