Brendan Neighborhood Association Focuses on Security, Communications

Presentations were made on crime prevention and local trends in the residential real estate market.

More than half of its residents have joined the Brandon Neighborhood Association, members were told during its annual meeting recently.

Douglas Healy, the president of the Brandon Neighborhood Associastion, also told attendees that the 2013-14 membership campaign was well on its way to increasing that level of support.

The neighborhood association focused on ongoing efforts to:

  • Continue to provide the neighborhood security patrols,
  • Enhance communications between neighbors,
  • Monitor ongoing development trends and
  • Continue to support the efforts of the Memorial Park Conservancy

Attendees also heard presentations from Major Van Hobbs of the Atlanta Police Department on crime prevention and Bonneau Ansley, who spoke about on local trends in the residential real estate market.

Six of the candidates who were running in the Atlanta School Board elections made presentations and answered questions also.
