Buckhead Church Hopes to Top Last Year's Summer Food Drive
The Summer Food Drive is this Sunday, July 14.
This coming Sunday, July 14, Buckhead Church will host a Summer Food Drive to benefit Buckhead Christian Ministry, part of the church's Intersect Project.
Buckhead Church uploaded photos of last year's effort on its Facebook page. "Let's go even bigger this Sunday!" the status reads.
In a church blog post, "The Why Behind Our Summer Food Drive," Dudley Franklin, development director with Buckhead Christian Ministry, cites Feeding America data that "In Georgia, more than 700,000 children are food insecure" which means "their access to adequate food is limited by a lack of money and other resources."
