Buckhead CID Issues RFP for Peachtree Road Transformation

The Buckhead Community Improvement District is accepting proposals for the final leg of its Peachtree Road Transformation project, phases three and four.

According to the Buckhead CID's site, "Now that Peachtree Rd. has been transformed from Maple Dr. to the BCID border at Roxboro Rd. it is time to complete the project south through the Buckhead Village to the southern BCID border. "

The Buckhead Community Improvement District (BCID) is accepting proposals (including an initial statement of qualifications and approach to the project, followed later by a detailed cost proposal if short-listed) from qualified engineering firms and individuals for the design and preparation of a complete set of construction plans and special provisions, if necessary, for Peachtree Road Phase Three and Phase Four improvements.

• Peachtree Road Phase Three project consists of converting Peachtree Road to a complete street from Maple Dr. to W. Shadowlawn Ave. The project currently has a completed Concept Report based on a proposed “road diet” and environmental approvals. Construction plans are to be developed following GDOT’s Plan Development Process.
• The Peachtree Road Phase Four project concept currently consists of reconstructing sidewalks, curbs and pavement resurfacing to accommodate a “road diet” of Peachtree Road between W. Shadowlawn Ave. and Sheridan Drive, through the heart of Buckhead Village in Atlanta, GA.

Statements of qualifications and approach to the project will be accepted no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, October 4, at the BCID offices located at 3340 Peachtree Road NE, Tower Place 100, Suite 1640, Atlanta, GA 30326. Submittals received after the above date and time will not be considered.

All qualifications shall be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation criteria set forth in this RFP. Restrictions on communications is established between Offerors and BCID staff or representing agents thereof from the issue date of this RFP until a firm is selected and the selection is announced.  Offerors are directed to submit all questions about this RFP including technical requirements, submission instructions, and any other general information to the designated project contact listed below:

All questions concerning this RFP must be submitted in writing (e-mail preferred). No questions other than written will be accepted. Responses to all questions received prior to the deadline for questions will be afforded to all Offerors in the form of an Addendum that will be posted on the BCID website within 24 hours of the question deadline.
