Atlanta guests will receive a special ‘first look’ at more than fifteen artworks from the upcoming Christie’s auction, taking place in May in New York City.

Highlights include; Vincent Van Gogh’s Oude Toren Bij Zonsondergang, Pablo Picasso’s Femme Couchee et personage and Deux dames japonaises dans un intérieur, Henri Matisse’s Nu couché, and Edward Hopper’s Coast Guard Boat 1.

It all takes place and it’s all on display at the JW Marriott Atlanta Buckhead, located at 3300 Lenox Road, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Thursday, April 10 through Saturday, April 12.

As a public event, guests will be invited to stroll through the elegant JW Marriott Atlanta Buckhead hotel lobby for this very special preview of exceptional collectibles before they go to auction. From there, guests can retreat to the hotel’s Nox Creek Lounge adjacent to the exhibition to enjoy art-inspired cocktails and bites from a special menu crafted for the occasion by Executive Chef Robert Mitchell.

The exclusive Christie’s exhibition coupled with the creative art-inspired food and beverage offerings allow the JW Marriott Atlanta to offer an enriched travel experience in new and exciting ways for guests as well as the local community.

“For the past three years, we’ve hosted exclusive pop-up exhibitions in partnership with Christie’s at JW Marriott properties all over the world, but this is our first time in Atlanta and the first time we’ve highlighted watches and timepieces,” JW Marriott’s Vice President and Global Brand Manager Mitzi Gaskins said in a news release. “It’s exciting to see this important partnership continue to grow, and offer guests something different each time around.”

Although guests cannot purchase items during the Atlanta exhibition, they are invited to bid on them at the auction in New York City. Guests will have the opportunity to preview top-quality wristwatches to be offered later this year among Christie’s auction, private sales, and eCommerce channel.

“We are thrilled to be bringing a strong offering of fine and rare wristwatches in this April’s showcase being presented by Christie’s in partnership with JW Marriott,” Reginald Brack, Christie’s VP, Director of Private Sales, Watches, said in a release. “Guests can look forward to highly desirable vintage Rolex sport models and unique examples of Patek Philippe, in addition to timepieces by Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, and many more.”

In 2011, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts launched a collection of strategic partnerships with leading luxury brands in culture, culinary and well-being.  These strategic partnerships were developed as part of a global brand initiative to deliver a deeper luxury guest experience at JW Marriott properties around the world.
