NPU-B to Switch Meeting Places

Buckhead's Neighborhood Planning Unit B will now meet at the Cathedral of St. Phillip until November.

Buckhead's Neighborhood Planning Unit B will no longer be meeting at . Instead, the board will temporarily hold its meetings for the next several months at the Cathedral of St. Phillip, located at 2744 Peachtree Road.

According to Reporter Newspapers, NPU-B Chair Sally Silver said that their former meeting room at Cathedral of Christ the King is needed for another use by the church.

The first meeting at the new location will be this Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. NPU-B’s full board meets at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month and its zoning committee meets at 7 p.m. on the last Tuesday.

At times, NPU-B meetings have been known to draw more than 100 people eager to hear the board weigh in on important zoning issues before going to the city of Atlanta for approval.

Silver said NPU-B will meet at (room 382) until November, at which point the meetings will move permanently to 3109 Piedmont Estate and Gardens — known as the Estate.

The venue is currently being renovated by Tony Conway's The Legendary Event catering company.
