Patch Pic: Buckhead Coalition Commends Cathedral of Christ the King

Former Atlanta mayor Sam Massell presented the church a certificate of commendation to recognize the school's 75th anniversary.

Massell, who lives across Peachtree from the Church complex, praised the parishioners for being such good neighbors.  The Award also acknowledges the Congregation’s general civic contributions.

Buckhead is noted for having some of the largest churches in the country, as well as some of the oldest in our state.  The Community has a total of 34 houses of worship, representing sixteen denominations.
