Father Frank McNamee, Cathedral of Christ the King Pastor (second from left), receives a Certificate of Commendation from Buckhead Coalition President Sam Massell.
Tricia Ward, Christ the King School principal (left), looks on, with eighth-grade students Clare Thanner and Andres Garcia (right). The recognition was given for the Cathedral’s 75th Anniversary.
Massell, who lives across Peachtree from the Church complex, praised the parishioners for being such good neighbors. The Award also acknowledges the Congregation’s general civic contributions.
Buckhead is noted for having some of the largest churches in the country, as well as some of the oldest in our state. The Community has a total of 34 houses of worship, representing sixteen denominations.
