Patient Companionship/Caregiver Respite Volunteer

Longleaf Hospice

Volunteer Need:

  • Patient Support: Reading, talking, taking walks, writing letters, making phone calls, running errands, playing games, engaging in a special project, and building friendships.
  • Caregiver Respite: Providing relief and peace of mind for the caregivers to have time to care for themselves and run errands, go to appointments, visit with friends, participate in support group meetings or attend religious services.

How Often: flexible schedule

 

Campground Host

U.S. Forest Service- Southern Region

Volunteer Need: general clean up, picking up trash, fee collection, ensuring visitors comply with campground rules, restroom cleaning, and assistance with general facility maintenance projects

Fashion Show Fundraiser Volunteers

I Will Survive, Inc.

Volunteer Need: assist in marketing, outreach committee team, admin, assist models and designers, assist celebrity guests, assist with food and drinks, assist with vendors, assist with set up and break down, model volunteers to be in fashion show.

How Often: before the event and on the day of the event– March 30, 7-10 p.m.

 

Atlanta Symphony Associates volunteers

Woodruff Arts Center

Volunteer Need: ushering at 24 children's concerts, participating in fundraisers that benefit music education programs, the Talent Development Program, and the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra.

How Often: not specified

 

Meal Delivery Volunteers

Open Hand

Volunteer Need: Volunteers use their own vehicles to deliver meals out in the community. Open Hand provides extremely detailed driving directions and a 30-minute delivery training.

How Often: Available almost any day, but the greatest need is on weekends.
