Galloway's Lion King: Dances of the Circle of Life
The Galloway School's Upper Learning Dance Ensemble presents its winter performance, "Galloway's Lion King: Dances of the Circle of Life." The performance showcases talented dancers, and it features a narrative written by Matthew Tennant '15, as well as live music by Upper Learning strings musicians.
When: Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m.

Sing the Wind at the Kennedy Center
Singing songs from the Celtic, English and American folk traditions, Steven Darsey explores life and longing through these powerful musical traditions. A scholar of southern indigenous music, he includes songs from the African American and rural white folk traditions and shares insight and humor drawn from his southern heritage. For nine years, he was privileged to sing songs to Fred Craddock's stories in their Winged the Heart; Stories and Songs programs in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

"Unbroken" Olympian and WWII Hero Louis Zamperini Shares Story
World War II prisoner of war Louis Zamperini relied upon unwavering will to remain unbroken by a sadistic Japanese POW guard, known as “The Bird”, and, later, the demons of post-traumatic stress. Zamperini will be the featured guest during two worship services.
