Buckhead Filming of 'Three Stooges' Almost Completed

Production crews of Farrelly Brothers comedy work at 'mansion' on West Paces Ferry

Production crews are nearly finished shooting in Bukchead for the Farrelly brothers' new comedy, "The Three Stooges."

The crews have been shooting scenes at a "mansion" on West Paces Ferry Road near the Governor's Mansion, according to Ernie Malik, media coordinator. He said work would conclude in Buckhead "sometime next week," with nine total shooting days completed.

"We have one or two more days, and then we're finished," Malik said.

Since early May, crews have been shooting the film at locations around Atlanta including Stone Mountain and Midtown.

"The Three Stooges" is inspired by the comedy act from the 1940s.

"This happens to be a contemporary comedy," Malik said. "It's about three guys named Moe, Larry and Curly."

Moe is played by Chris Diamantopoulos. Larry is played by Sean Hayes of the television show "Will & Grace," and Curly by Will Sasso.

Other actors involved in the production include Sofia Vergara of the television show "Modern Family," Jane Lynch of "Glee," and Larry David of "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

Malik said this is the Farrelly brothers' second production in Atlanta. "The Three Stooges" will be released sometime in 2012, he said.

"Atlanta right now is one of the busiest" places to film in the country, Malik said.
