Bucks on the Street Auction Party Canceled; New Auction Format Coming

You will still have your chance to participate in the auction, but there will not be a party for the event.

The auction party for the Bucks on the Street has been canceled after organizers received feedback that others wanted a different way to participate in the auction. The party was scheduled for Nov. 15.

Bucks on the Street co-chairwomen Donna Kain and Elizabeth Gill in a Facebook message explained that the cancellation for the party came from feedback and concerns on handling auction participation from individuals who couldn't attend the party.

"In place of the party, we will host an online auction of the Bucks on the Street! Not only is this a more cost-effective, sustainable option, but it also enables us to expand the reach of the program. Everyone who has enjoyed these fabulous creatures for the past six months will now have the opportunity to take one home!" the Facebook message stated.

The online auction, the co-chairwomen wrote, will be a more effective way to "capitalize on the excitement that Bucks on the Street has generated during the past six months, and will generate more funds for Livable Buckhead’s green space work."

Details about the auction process will be provided soon, according to the message. Buckhead Patch will post updates as they become available.
