Bewitch and Beware at the Pace Fall Fair (Pace Academy's 49th Annual Fair)

Pace Academy invites the entire community to its 49th Annual Fall Fair.  This year’s Fair will have a wizard-y theme that will celebrate the magic of the school just in time for Halloween.  The Pace campus (located at 966 W. Paces Ferry Road) will be transformed into a CHAMBER OF WIZARDS on Saturday, October 20 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.  In 2011, approximately 10,000 area residents enjoyed games, rides, shopping and family fun for all ages. Pace Academy’s Fall Fair attractions will include:

  • Laser Tag

  • Flippity Do Da, Green Screen and Light Graffiti photo activities

  • Inflatables

  • The Street Market (outdoor shopping area with more than 80 vendors)

  • Fair games for all ages

  • And much more

In addition to a variety of activities, Pace Academy’s Fall Fair will offer delicious food and refreshments. Participating food vendors include Buckhead Pizza Company, Cafe at Pharr, Chick-Fil-A, Honeysuckle Gelato, Willy’s, Pace’s own Knight’s Grill and many more.  Free parking for the Fair will be available at the Church of The Apostles at 3585 Northside Parkway. Shuttles leave every 10 minutes beginning at 10 a.m.

Co-chairs Ripple Alkire and Alex Karamanolis will oversee the event this year. Alkire said, “We are coming up on 50 years of the Fall Fair and we couldn’t be more excited. We have so many activities planned for the community; it just keeps getting bigger every year. We are looking forward to the Atlanta community getting together for a day of fun and games.”

An underlying theme of the Fair is one of sustainability as the volunteers try to make the Fair more eco-friendly.  Sixty new recycling receptacles will be used to increase the collection of recycled materials on Fair Day.  This year’s Fall Fair t-shirts are made of 50-percent recycled cotton and 50-percent recycled materials, including plastic bottles.  The volunteer staff of 200 also is limiting the amount of materials used in the planning process by sharing important information online instead of printing.

This year’s Fair is sponsored by Believe, Global Payments, Rooms To Go Children's Fund, Spanx, Catherine and Ted McMullan, Carland Acura and Honda and many other friends of Pace.
