Monaco Boys Choir Performs in Buckhead Thursday

The world-famous choir will make two Atlanta-area appearances this week.

A world-renowned choir will be bringing its talents to Atlanta in part of celebrations of its 40th anniversary, Neighbor Newspapers reports.

The Monaco Boys Choir, which has gained fame for its renditions of songs written for children, will appear at a free performance at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Buckhead at 7:30 p.m. on July 17.

An additional performance will be held at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus as part of Mass on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The basilica is located at 353 Peachtree Center Ave.

The choir was founded in 1974 by Monaco's Prince Rainier III. The choir has performed in greater than 35 nations since 1974, and holds anywhere from 30 to 40 concerts a year. Members of the choir range in ages from eight to 18 years old.
