Recently released photo shows some of the descendants and friends gathered for a private event at Woodruff Arts Center.

On the 50th Anniversary of the in Paris, which figured prominently in the creation of Buckhead and the rest of Atlanta’s present day, the Woodruff Arts Center hosted 150 descendants and friends of those who perished for a simple, but very special private memorial ceremony.

The recently released a photo of last weekend's ceremony that shows the gathering.

The chosen spot was at the bronze casting of Rodin’s statue, “The Shade”, which was donated to the people of Atlanta in memory of those who died that day by the French government. It stands near the Ginkgo tree in front of the Woodruff Arts Center for all passers-by to enjoy.
