Tongue & Groove Celebrates Anniversary

Owners Michael Khrongold and Scott Strumlauf look forward to a twentieth year with the nightclub.

Atlanta's Tongue & Groove celebrated its 19th anniversary with a bash of epic proportions. Beginning at 8 p.m., Tongue & Groove hosted friends, family, and supporters for a special VIP portion of the event that featured complimentary Perrier Joet Nuit Blanche champagne and live music by local favorite, KontraBand Muzik.

While swaying to the sounds, guests mixed and mingled with owners Michael Khrongold and Scott Strumlauf while enjoying passed appetizers courtesy of Zest Atlanta. Attendees were also treated to a chef station featuring Kyma’s Executive Chef Pano Karatassos’ delicious eats.

Following the VIP portion, DJ Danny M took to Tongue & Groove's newly redesigned DJ booth to crank up the volume and the party. As the soundtrack to the night played on, the club showed off the numerous improvements they had recently made to celebrate the monumental anniversary. In addition to the renovated sound booth, Tongue & Groove also introduced a new Electro-Voice sound system and new light fixtures with unique aerial beams. Of course, no T&G party would be complete without a few surprises. As the evening continued, costumed go-go dancers took to the stage and impressive ILLuminautian LED robots made appearances among the crowd.
