Weekender: Flock of Seagulls, Party of Pups, Dinner of Laughs, Festival of Arts in Buckhead

This weekend is busting at the seams with activities and fun times for all with 80s concerts, improv dinner theatre, fashionable puppy adoptions and the Chastain Park Arts Festival.

The Improv Comedy Club and Dinner Theatre just opened its doors in Atlanta on Oct. 4. Dinner theater shows run Thursday through Saturday, and this week's act is Bobby Slayton, known as the Pitbull of Comedy. More information, upcoming acts and tickets can be found at www.theimprovatlanta.com.

Flock of Seagulls Concert at the Buckhead Theatre

If you love 80s music and awesome hair, you need to run, run all night and day to grab a ticket for the upcoming Flock of Seagulls show at the Buckhead Theatre. The 'Gulls, along with Naked Eyes and Gene Loves Jezebel will have you rocking all night!

When: Doors open at 7 p.m.

Fourth Annual Chastain Park Arts Festival

Get ready for a festival for artists by artists with lots of great visual art for sale and constant tunes from acoustic local performers like Wesley Cook, Jeno, Prisca Strother and the band Night Driving in Small Towns, who are all scheduled to play. And don't worry, you won't go hungry with local fare from food trucks: Yumbii, Tastee, Rolly Polly, King of Pops, Ursa Minor Coffee and Fry Guy, plus food and drinks from Granny’s Lemonade, Snap Franks, S&J Pizza and Williamson Brothers Bar-B-Q. Make a day of it and see why this festival is consistently ranked one of the best in Atlanta.
