The Atlanta History Center: Fridays in February

Celebrate Black History Month at the Atlanta History Center.  Each Friday, students experience African American history, culture, and achievements during four historic time periods.

Feb. 3:  A Day in the Life of a Slave

Feb. 10:  From Slave to Soldier:  The African American Experience in the Civil War

Feb. 17:  The Great Migration:  Fromthe Jim Crow South to the Harlem Renaissance

Feb. 24:  The Civil Rights Movement

These programs include tours of History Center exhibitions, live performances, living history interpreters, and thought-provoking activities for students.

Admission is $7 per student; one adult is admitted free for every five students; Title I schools receive a discount rate of $4 per student.
