And not just because the Lions and Golden Bears both bring identical 6-1 records into the game that will determine the regular season championship.
Wednesday night will also serve as a ‘Pink Out’ to bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer. This is the second year the Golden Bears have organized such a game and the Lions were more than happy to participate this season. Expect lots of pink sported by players, coaches and fans alike.
Lots of festivities are planned, too, surrounding the game that is set for 6:45 p.m. on the field that runs parallel to Wieuca Road.
The weather should be clear and cool, so grab something warm (and pink) and come out to support a bunch of 7- and 8-year-olds battle on the field, while also supporting and celebrating those who have fought and are still fighting the brave and courageous battle against breast cancer.
