UPDATE: Randolph-Lucas House Off Board of Zoning Agenda

The issue is being deferred while parties explore a solution that does not involve demolition.

UPDATE: The Randolph-Lucas House issue will continue to be dealt with behind the scenes as the Atlanta Board of Zoning Adjustment Committee voted unanimously this week to move the previously cancelled hearing up to its November agenda. The decision was made in order for the parties involved to work out further agreements regarding the fate of the historic house, which recent reports seem to indicate will be relocated.

will no longer be heard at this Thursday's Board of Zoning Adjustment meeting, originally scheduled for 12 p.m. 

According to a statement on the Buckhead Heritage Society's website, the issue is being deferred while parties explore a solution that does not involve demolishing the house.

Erica Danylchak, Executive Director of Buckhead Heritage, told Buckhead Patch that more information will be available after those involved complete a Memorandum of Understanding, a document that describes a bilateral or multilateral agreement between parties.

This information comes after last week's NPU-B meeting, which offerred for those in favor of saving the historic house.
