Bluepointe Restaurant to Close Nov. 12

Buckhead Life Restaurant Group Also Announces Return of Panos & Paul's

The Buckhead Life Restaurant Group recently announced that it will close the restaurant in Buckhead Nov. 12.

Buckhead Life said it couldn't reach a new lease agreement with the landlord of the site at 3455 Peachtree Road.

While closing one spot, the company will bring back another longtime Atlanta favorite, Pano's and Paul's. The new Pano’s restaurant and dining lounge will open in the fall of 2012 and be located on the entire main level of the company said in a news release.

In a statement on the closure of Bluepointe, company CEO and founder Pano Karatassos said, “Bluepointe has been a very successful concept for us and very popular with our guests. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to reach an economically viable agreement with the landlord.”

Company marketing director Jennifer G. Parker told Buckhead Patch, “It wasn’t something we wanted to do. Economically we couldn’t come to a deal that made sense.”

The new Pano’s resaurant will have “broad appeal for upscale Atlanta diners,” a news release from the company said.

Award winning local desiger Bill Johnson of Johnson Studios will collaborate with Karatassos and his sons Niko and Pano to create the new restaurant. The recently renovated Grand Ballroom downstairs at the 103 West site will feature an expanded pre-function space and will continue to be used for private events.

The company also announced an expansion of its Chops Lobster Bar in Boca Raon, Fla.
