Here's the latest on new businesses and development in Buckhead.
- Hublot, a Swiss watch maker that offers designs fashioned with rubber and precious metals, has opened a store at Phipps Plaza.
- The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that a nine-story apartment building at 550 Pharr Road is being converted to apartments, the latest sign of strength in the apartment-building trend in the area.
- Furniture retailer Modani Atlanta has signed a lease at Buckhead Pavilion Shopping Center at 3221 Peachtree Road, according to the Buckhead View blog. Buckhead View reports that the store, which specializes in modern and contemporary furniture, will open there in mid-December.
- Everything But Water, a retailer that offers swimwear and resort wear, is preparing to open at Phipps. The store will be in the Belk wing on Mall Level 1.
- What Now Atlanta reports that Pizza Hut is opening a location in the 3100 block of Peachtree Road.
- A two-story building is planned in the 3300 block, next to Bistro Nikko. What Now Atlanta reports that TD Ameritrade will be the anchor tenant.
