As summer turns to fall, food lovers in Buckhead will have several new places to try in the neighborhood. Here's a quick roundup of what's coming.
Del Frisco's Grille is opening Oct. 13 and has started hiring staff for a range of positions, including servers, cooks, bartenders and a butcher. The restaurant will be next to the Mandarin Oriental on Peachtree Road. A news release says the bar and grill will offer "creative twists on American comfort classics."
The release says Executive Chef Mike Fuller will feature dishes such as Brunswick shrimp and grits, Savannah blue crab toast, Anson Mills grit cakes and Dillwood Farms collard greens. The restaurant will also have an extensive wine wall.
Eater offers a Q&A with the restaurant’s chef, Drew Van Leuvan, who has worked at ONE Midtown Kitchen and several other Atlanta eateries. Livable Buckhead describes Seven Lamps as offering "small plates and a gathering around the kitchen island feel."
Eater also reports that the former Cafe at Pharr building near Chastain Park will become home to Buttermilk Kitchen by early October. It will be run by chef Suzanne Vizethann of The Hungry Peach and will offer made from scratch breakfast and lunch items such as pork belly BLTs.
