Chef Ford Fry to Open New Buckhead Restaurant in Fall 2013

The chef-restauranteur continues to build his empire with a newly inked deal for a fifth restaurant, which will be one of two he plans to open in Buckhead in 2013.

 

Chef Ford Fry, recently chosen by Food & Wine magazine as one of 10 chef-restauranteur empire builders of 2012, will open a new restaurant in Buckhead in the fall of 2013.

The restaurant will be the fifth in Fry's empire, which includes award-winning The Optimist, JCT. Kitchen & Bar and No. 246. He is currently working on his fourth restaurant, colonial American-focused

Fry signed a lease to open the new restaurant in The Pinnacle Building, at the corner of Peachtree and Lenox Roads, formerly occupied by the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group’s Bluepointe restaurant.

According to a release, the newest restaurant will serve food inspired by the European coast and will "incorporate techniques and flavors of Italy, Spain and possibly France." Meyer Davis of New York will design the space.

Fry will name a chef and the restaurant's new name early in 2013.

“What I am most excited about is an oversized classic European bar with clear sight-lines into a wood burning hearth and even a dramatic crudo bar mounted with just harvested shellfish and seafood," Fry stated in the release.
